Rename Views

Batch-rename views with direct edits or batch rules. Filter by view family, optionally show parameter columns for context, preview results, then apply to all checked rows.

  1. Select view family. Use the dropdown (e.g., Floor Plans) to load views of that family.
  2. Add parameter columns (optional). Click Add Parameters to display view parameters (e.g., View Scale) as extra columns. These values are read-only. Right-click a parameter header to remove it.
  3. Select views. Check the rows to rename. The grid shows:
    • Original Value – current name.
    • Updated Value – live preview of the new name.
    • Write a Value – optional per-row manual name.
    • Any added parameter columns (e.g., View Scale).
  4. Compose names.
    • Direct edit: Type a specific name in Write a Value for selected rows (e.g., "SCALE 100 - Basement 1").
    • Batch Rename: Use Prefix/Suffix or Find/Replace With to update all checked rows (e.g., Prefix "SCALE 25 - ").
  5. Apply. Click Rename Selected to commit changes to all checked views.
